PMEA’s webinars continue this week with offerings on Tuesday & Thursday.
- Tuesday, May 19: PMEA Research Forum II – Featuring the research projects: An Examination of Elementary General Music Students’ Actions, Interactions, and Perceptions of Learning Through Music Play, presented by Margaret Harrigan, Eastman School of Music and An Exploratory Study of Community Band Members’ Impressions of Skills and Behaviors Successful for Band Directing, presented by Lauren Ryals, Temple University
- Thursday, May 21: PMEA Cares: Together We Teach – Charting a Path Forward – What does the future hold for music education in PA? PMEA’s Future Action Task Force will share updates about the advocacy work that is happening around the state and the country as we prepare for the return to school. Information will also be shared about what music educators should be doing now, as well as what research may impact our music classrooms in future. Time will be made available for questions and discussion about concerns and ideas for our path forward.
All webinars begin at 7 p.m. Registration is free for PMEA/NAfME members and one hour of Act 48 credit is available upon completion of two forms following each webinar. *Please note that the webinar will be recorded and posted to the website 1-2 days following the presentation.
