NAfME & Eastern Division Honors Ensembles Info

Information on applying to a 2022 NAfME All-National Honors Ensemble is now available and posted on NAfME’s website. The window to submit an application is now open and will close at the end of the day (11:59 p.m.) on Friday, May 27. Please note the Requirements and Guidelines, as well as the Audition Excerpts. Please also note NAfME’s Vaccination Policy.

Specific information on submitting an application for a 2023 NAfME Eastern Division Honors Ensemble (April 13-16 in Rochester, NY) is not yet available.

**Separate from applying for an Eastern Division Honors Ensemble, PMEA requires an equalizer audition in order to accurately rank students whose All-State audition music was different (band/wind ens. and orchestra) and/or had different review committees (i.e. violin I & violin II parts). This equalizer is required for all instrumentalists interested in applying for an All-East Honors Ensemble (with the exception of violists & cellists and students in the All-State Jazz ensemble). Students who were members of the 2022 PMEA All-State Chorus & Vocal Jazz ensemble do NOT need to submit an equalizer audition.

The window to submit the equalizer audition will run from Wednesday, May 18 until Wednesday, June 1 (closes at 11:59 p.m.). The links will be posted on the PMEA website when the window opens on May 18. PMEA is utilizing the same Audition Excerpts that NAfME is using for its honors ensembles applications so instrumental students interested in applying to both programs only need to learn one excerpt. *There is no fee to submit an equalizer audition.
