PMEA’s second Music Industry Summit will take place on Wednesday, July 23rd at The Penn Stater in Harrisburg, PA. All PMEA Corporate Members are invited to attend for free. (Current PMEA Corporate Sponsorship is required to attend.)

9:00 am – Welcome and State of Music Education In Pennsylvania (Brett Keith, Kayla Stiely, Mark Despotakis)
-Hear the state of play of music education in Pennsylvania as it relates to data, budget, and policy.

9:45 am – Threading the Needle on Purchasing; How School Business Officials Are Reacting (Dylan Watts, Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials)
-Given the uncertainty that school finance is facing this year, with changing dynamics at both the state and federal level, school business officials have had to be fluid in their purchasing decisions and processes. Here is how they’ve reacted, and continued to thrive.   

10:30 am – NAMM Foundation (Julia Rubio)

11:15 am – Open Forum
-Based on feedback from the 2024 Music Industry Summit, this will be an opportunity for PMEA Corporate Sponsors to interact directly with PMEA leadership to talk about areas for collaboration in advancing music education in Pennsylvania.
