✉ Contact Margaret Bauer

Margaret S. Bauer served as PMEA’s executive director from 1996-2015, after completing a year as Irene Christman’s assistant (1995-1996). Prior to serving PMEA, Margaret served as executive director of the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) from 1984 to 1994. She holds degrees in music education, music history, and library science. Now retired from full time work with PMEA, she serves as executive director emerita and assists with various projects as needed.

In her spare time, she serves as church musician for the Wyomissing Church of the Brethren and continues to work with the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators as their webmaster. Her hobbies include Cricut crafting, golf and reading.
