Audition Music
Correction/Clarification
Posted: September 11, 2008
District Chorus:
The alto part to the District Chorus
audition piece, "O Clap Your Hands," has a mistake. Page 8, first measure,
the fifth note should be a B-flat. Please make the appropriate corrections
to your part before preparing students for this audition.
Honors Band:
A point of clarification on Honors Band auditions: the Clarinet solo listed
as "Weber
Concertino Op. 26
Begin. To Var. II" should have included "stopping at the Lento
(quarter note = 63)." Please make note of this when preparing students
for this audition.
New Fest/ival Forms Posted
Posted: August 30, 2008
The Executive Board approved revised forms beginning with the 2008-09 school year. Additional fields have been added to the forms to gather more information that is helpful to festival hosts and selection committee members. Several revisions were also made to policy statements on the reverse side of the Student Application forms to provide clarity to directors, parents, and students.
In addition to PDF versions of the forms, a new feature of these updated
forms are versions set up with enterable MS Word fields so that information can
be typed directly into the file and printed out.
